Brandon

The fourth Canada Winter Games took place in Brandon, Manitoba. Remarkably, one out of every nine citizens from the small city of 38,000 volunteered to help make the undertaking a success. Brandon proved to the country—and to itself—that it was capable of hosting a memorable event worthy of the Canada Games tradition.

Racquetball makes its first appearance at the Canada Games. During the sport's short run, New Brunswickers would medal three times before racquetball takes its leave at the end of the 1991 Games.
