Saskatoon

Winter Games

In 1971, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan worked tirelessly to accommodate its soon-to-be guests. Inspired by the spirit of the previous Games, organizers not only converted a four-storey department store into housing for athletes, but they also went so far as to build Blackstrap Ski Hill, one of the few man-made mountains in the world.
