Summer Games

The 2017 Canada Summer Games in Winnipeg celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Canada Games and acknowledged Canada’s 150th birthday. Winnipeg is the second city in Manitoba to host a summer edition of the Canada Games after Brandon hosted a summer Games in 1997. The Winnipeg games were the most successful games to date for Team NB with four gold, nine silver, and eleven bronze for a total of twenty-four medals won.

In total, there were 1,746 medals handed out during the 17-day event, which showcased the very best of Canadian sport and spirit.
