Regina

Summer Games

Saskatchewan turned one hundred years young in 2005. It celebrated by becoming the first province to host Canada Games three times. These Summer Games in Regina marked a few other breakthroughs: athletes were given permission to compete in two different sports for the first time, women’s wrestling made its debut, and the addition of diversity ambassadors rounded out another important stage of growth for the Canada Games.
